Most students will have some record of their jobs, activities, and accomplishments. I will partner with them to gather this information and display in a resume format that will help to differentiate them from other students and position them to shine in a crowded market. The resume will captivate both human and AI audiences. Students often need formal resumes as they go through the college application process, or during their first year of college as they apply to clubs and internships. This document will provide a standard that can be edited throughout their college career and early career exploration process. 

LinkedIn Optimization

LinkedIn is the worlds largest professional network on the internet. Professionals and students use LinkedIn for job and internship opportunities, to connect and strengthen professional relationships and to learn the skills necessary to be successful in their career. It is an essential tool in todays networking and job/internship search process. I will help students to create a clear, concise and descriptive LinkedIn profile which will help to position them with future employers, as well as establish the foundation for networking. It will be a tool that can be edited and built upon for the entirety of their career.

Career Assessment & Initial Career Guidance

I am certified to administer the Strong Interest Inventory Assessment. This allows me to provide my clients with career direction and insight into options that align with their interests and abilities. The assessment helps individuals identify their work personality by exploring their interests in six broad areas: realistic, artistic, investigative, social, enterprising, and conventional. From there, we can break down the data into Basic Interest Scales which can be directly related to fields of study and careers.

We will work together to identify a couple of potential internship or career opportunities that closely match with the outcome of the assessment, and create cover letters that address each opportunity.

25+ years of executive search and in-house recruiting experience

My career has included roles within company recruiting organizations where I led teams to successfully make quality hires and managed college recruiting programs; to executive level hiring within global retained search firms. Regardless of the seniority of the candidates I was working with, a common denominator among all candidates is a well refined resume and a descriptive LinkedIn Profile.
As I went through the college process with my oldest daughter, I realized that most young students are not taught how to build a resume, create a LinkedIn profile or simply know how to navigate correspondence and communication with potential employers. My hope is to provide the materials and guidance to help guide them through the early stages of their career development.
